Study of the Tourism Competitiveness Model of the World Economic Forum Using Rasch’s Mathematical Model: The Case of Portugal

In this paper, the potential of World Economic Forum (WEF) model to analyze tourism competitiveness is studied. The study aims WEF model’s validity, reliability and dimensionality. It attempts determine for studying destinations’ in an integrated context. Finally, using model, Portugal’s analyzed benchmarking methodology used Rasch mathematical a that has been effectively demonstrated social sciences. Competitiveness data from latest available Travel Tourism Report (TTCR-2019) used. results show statistically valid reliable tourism. Likewise, high joint individual countries context confirmed. facilitates development policies improve competitiveness.
